I can’t believe it’s almost Spring!
After MacWorld in January, the time seems to have flown by. We had a busy January working with Disney. We designed a course to teach everyone there about Hi-Definition. At the end of March the Disney Channel, ABC Family and the Toon Network are gong to start broadcasting in Hi-Definition so we were fortunate enough to be asked to work with their staff on getting them prepared.
We also were working with ABC training their Prime Time on-line group in Adobe Affects and we’re soon going to start training them on Action Scripting in Flash.
Our January Final Cut Pro class was a big success. Diana taught a wonderful class filled with lots of terrific people. Also in January we custom deigned a course on Advanced Final Cut techniques and an overview of Color for Sony. We asked Michael Wohl, the author of the APTS Final Cut Pro 6 - Beyond the Basics. to work with us on this project.
February brought the first of our road trip Cities – Ogden, Utah. We were invited to be part of the Foursite Film Festival, a high school student festival. Brendan Boykin, one of our lead trainers (and by the way, Diana’s technical editor on her APTS Final Cut Pro 6 book) traveled to Ogden through the storm from his home state of Colorado to teach a basic Level 101 Final Cut Pro course. As usual, Brendan did a great job! Thanks Brendan.
Infact we didn’t let Brendan stay home long before we sent him off to Cullowhee, North Carolina. He had a class filled with students from Western West Carolina University and some of their teachers. Great class, great feedback. Thanks again Brendan. And thanks Western Carolina for hosting a great class.
February
We helped out our friends at CNN. They’ve moved into their new facility in Los Angeles, mostly Final Cut bays so we’ve been training over there. We even took a few days off and went up to Cambria. It’s one of our favorite places. You can walk on the bluff alongside the ocean and watch the seals, the pelicans and in season the whales migrating. Great to relax!
March
At the end of the month Diana is teaching a Level 101 Final Cut Pro Class - (28-20). Work continues on at Disney and CNN.
Time just flies!!!
