More Production iPhone Apps

I'm beginning to think there aren't going to be many film production tools left that you can't find on your iPhone or iPod touch!

Today I'm dealing with light meters, and other helpful apps that will be of great assistant to directors, lighting directors, camera people, cinematographers and photographers. Here's just a few of what's available.

Release of NukeX -  A Review

At the end of January The Foundry released NukeX, their enhanced version of Nuke. What NukeX adds is a very capable camera tracker, the lens distortion tools you need to go along with it, plus a core set of Furnace plug-ins that are an absolute must for camera tracking. I have been exploring NukeX for nearly a month now and I must say it is truly awesome.

So you're on the set and you discover just before you're ready to roll camera, that you left the slate at the camera rental house! Don't fire the Camera assist! Just get your iPhone or iPod Touch app out.

Free Reptilian Filter from Eye Scream Factory and Boris FX

There are so many good filteres out there.  A new free one is available from Boris.  The Continuum Materials Unit can be used to create a nearly infinite variety of animated backgrounds in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Final Cut Express. The plug-in suite includes Boris Continuum Complete 15 filters that can be stacked or used individually to create abstract animated backgrounds or lifelike footage.
