More Production iPhone Apps
Well it looks like Final Draft (the script writing program) is taking a move to the iPhone seriously. I recently participated in a survey about what we hope to have and would like to expect to have in a Final Draft iPhone App. Stay tuned.
Some other really new cool Apps have recently just been released that you may not know about if you're an Assistant Director or an Actor. Also Panavision has releaased it's first iPhone App too.

Multimedia File Analyzer for the Mac
By Andy Beach
This is not a new one, but I realized I’d not mentioned it before.
When you encode video for a living, you invariably spend a chunk of time trying to reverse engineer the work of others. How the heck did they make that trailer? What makes that You Tube clip look so good. The info you get from most player’s info panel is limited at best. That’s where you need a tool like MediaInfo Mac. This has long existed for our PC bretheren, but hasn’t been around nearly as long for the mac.

Looking for absolutely anything Final Cut...
Final Cutters based out of London has published an on-line directory of almost everything Final Cut - at least over 900 different products from the free iPhone Apps to the most expensive software and hardware. It's a way to sift through all of the third party plug ins, hardware and software that support Final Cut Studio. What's nice about the site is that you can search via tag. Just select tags like filters or plug ins in the tag section and it will bring up an entire list of available third party stuff for Final Cut Studio.
